Day Five  (Week 2):

  • 5-minute warm-up walk
  • warm-up lunges
  • 1 minutes of running
  • 2 minutes of walking
  • repeat run/walk interval 7-times (21 minutes)
  • cooldown walk
  • stretches
Day 5 Stats

Not going to lie. Today was so miserable weatherwise. All I could think about was getting done and getting into a low-humidity environment.

Fifth run! Besides the humidity and having to deal with the weedeater brigade on the trail, it was a pretty normal run. I did figure out that my foot pain might be caused by me subconsciously overcompensating for lack of leg strength. I tried pivoting my foot more to the inside when landing and my muscle between my heel and my calf immediately┬álit up. So I’m wondering if the lack of strength there has been causing me to put extra weight on the outside of my foot causing it to become inflamed? Going to keep experimenting and try and strengthing that area of my legs more on my off days. Trying to take extra care of my feet because that will cause my first injury if I’m not careful.

Run Regrets:

I always have run regrets or little nagging things that tweak my brain while I run.

  • Not being able to get up earlier to┬árun when it’s cooler.
  • I need a new hat.
