Run Ten (Week 4, Day 1):
- 5-minute warm-up walk
- 1.5 minutes of running
- 2 minutes of walking
- repeat run/walk interval 8-times (30 minutes)
- drink water with Emergen-C
- calf raises
Four weeks and I did a thing! I have run a total of 10 times! I’m a quarter way through this 12-week program! I’m running almost as much as I am walking! (And I feel like, after today, I may need to repeat this week.) So let’s talk about it being 80 degrees at 7:30 this morning. Ok. I don’t want to talk about how bad the weather sucked. I may do an indicator of weather to body suckage. Knees are still doing the stabbing Ginsu knives pain on the first couple of intervals and then they get settled. A friend recommended StopPain. So I’m going to give that a go. I did rub BioFreeze on my lower back before my run this morning and it seemed to help. I feel like “Watch Out! Old Person Running! Smell the BenGay!!!!”
I always have run regrets or little nagging things that tweak my brain while I run.
- Not willing to run at 6 am.
- Wishing to be acclimated to the heat.
